SALONSALON is a Danish slow fashion brand founded in 2020 by Mette Bjerregaard, Stine Bjerregaard and Dorte Hannibal with an ambition to unite the love of fashion with a resource-conscious and respectful approach to production as well as consumption.

Designer Mette Bjerregaard is trained at Istituto Marangoni in Milan and started her career at Prada. The close ties to Italy are part of what characterizes her refined aesthetics and fondness for traditional tailoring.

Italy is also where SALONSALON finds the exclusive deadstock fabrics, which form the starting point for SALONSALON’s biannual collections. Creating new expressions and stories from something already existing is an important dogma for the design process.

SALONSALON’s production is primarily made-to-order in order to minimize overproduction – one of the biggest problems in the fashion industry.
The production takes place in collaboration with small family-run workshops with great respect for craft traditions and the people whose skilled hands translate Mette’s designs into beautiful, well-fitting clothes.
